What folks are saying

I’m really stoked with the work you’ve done…really dramatic improvement in the clarity and punch, especially of the low end. I have other finished songs that could absolutely benefit from your work.

Adam Matza mastered one of my songs and I love it. He is like a music chef, puts in just enough of each Ingredient, and it came out TASTY!

I finally got a listen to the mastered recording you did for me. My first thought, when the intro started, was “smooth.” My emotional response as the track progressed could best be described as joy. I hear both a fullness and presence in the track that was lacking before. I didn’t know that was lacking as I sent you the best sounding track of anything I have done. I released an album last year just to friends and family, but if all my tracks sounded this good I’d be trying to get more people to listen to it. Thank you so much. I love it!

I have had a few experiences with different mastering engineers, but my experience with Adam was the best.

He really separates himself by asking questions and trying to get inside the mind of the songwriter. It’s abundantly clear throughout the process that he cares a lot about taking your music as far as it possibly can go.

Once we were done, Adam was available for consultancy and general knowledge share. Adam is a cool and talented guy who was reliable, professional, and compassionate throughout my time working with him; he has earned my highest recommendation.

Love it! Well done!! I love that it has the nice, deep low end we put in the mix…sounds nice and loud without being compressed/limited to death.

Working with Magic Ears Mastering has made it possible to not only meet all my deadlines, but also with a quality and reliability that always exceeds my expectations. Truly a blessing in the process of releasing my music!

I could best describe your mix as “precise.” You’ve got an excellent ear. Over the last 40 years, I’ve taken seven bands into a recording studio and only one other engineer has managed to give me as good a guitar sound as you did. And you did it under the worst of circumstances: with a guitar recorded on a software modeling amp! Nice job with the bass, too. Great work!

I recently worked with Adam Matza at Magic Ears Mastering and had a wonderful experience.

He was very sensitive to my thoughts and wishes, responsive in a timely manner and ultimately got me the end result I was happy with. When a mastering engineer cares about the artist and the music, it makes a world of difference.

Adam has been involved with a lot of different genres as a performer and vocalist so he knows how it feels to be on the artist’s side.

Having that experience makes him an understanding and empathetic mastering engineer. I was so pleased with the results that I brought my next project to him as well. Highly recommend giving Magic Ears a try!

Thank you Adam for the great work and professional treatment.

Adam’s work was outstanding – so thoughtful and subtle. I’m in a band called Raker, and we recently reached out to him to master our first single – “Gospel.” He was quick, flexible, direct…establishing himself as our go-to-guy for upcoming releases. If you want to feel confident that you have an expert on board, go with Magic Ears Mastering.

I can highly recommend Adam Matza and Magic Ears Mastering, having used them on all four Orange Hypothesis EPs since 2017. Working with Adam is always a pleasure and I really value our partnership. He communicates really well, is super engaged, offers helpful suggestions and options and is patient and responsive with my queries and requests. It’s a really rewarding collaborative process and the end results never fail to leave me smiling. Adam brings clarity, space and precision to the mix, at the same time somehow magically making the whole thing gel. His insights and feedback have helped me improve the quality of my mixes and I’ve learned something new every time we work together. Adam has great musical knowledge and I trust and value his instincts. In short, Magic Ears Mastering rocks! Give them a go, you won’t be disappointed.
